Canaan, NY –
Azim Stephen Goldrick, long-time resident of Canaan, NY died on March 17, 2016 at the home of friends in New Lebanon, NY after a brief illness.
He was a devoted Buddhist practitioner, participant in sweat lodges at Spirit Hollow in Bennington, VT, a dedicated member of the Sufi Community at the Abode of the Message in New Lebanon, NY, an accomplished musician and active member of the Chatham, NY community. He played guitar at many open mics in and around Chatham and Hudson, NY, and Great Barrington, MA, and volunteered as an usher for many years at the Egg in Albany, NY.
Azim is survived by his brothers Matt (Theresa), Tony (Terry), and Richard (Nim) and his sisters Corinne Fischer (Ray) and Lisa, many beloved nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
